Main Focus

The main focus of my PhD is social learning and tool-use in island living white-faced capuchins (Cebus capucinus imitator). I am fascinated by the cultural transmission of behaviors and how this relates to socio-ecological, environmental, and individual factors. By combining observations with non-invasive experiments and statistical modeling, I hope to learn more about animal culture.
